Four Stories. One Gospel.

Why are there four gospel stories and how do they relate to our lives today? The four gospels – Matthew, Mark, Luke, John – go beyond relaying details of Jesus’ life, death and resurrection. They are at the core of our identity as Christians, and their influence has drastically altered the course of history. Take a journey with us, beginning September 18, as we take a look at these instrumental narratives, and discover how they impact our lives today.

9.18 | On The Move
The four Evangelists gave us the Gospel from four distinct vantage points, each of which helps us understand God’s powerful movement in our lives.

9.25 | Matthew (Man)
Known as “The Teacher’s Gospel”, Matthew conveys the humility and wisdom of a divine man.
Matthew 5:1-12

10.2  | Mark (Lion)
In Mark Jesus is the preeminent Son of God, the Lion from the tribe of Judah.
Mark 5:1-7

10.9 | Luke (Ox)
Possessing a high regard for the Temple and its practices, Luke displays Jesus as The Sacrifice.
Luke 2:25-32

10.16 | John (Eagle)
Soaring above the others, John is perhaps the most ‘theological’, conveying Jesus’ significance with abstract, yet powerful, images.
