The Beatitudes by Matt Chandler on Right Now Media

What does it mean to be blessed? And, more importantly, how do we become someone who is blessed? The kind of life God is calling us to may not look the way we imagined, but it will be better than we could have hoped.

In this eight-session series, pastor Matt Chandler takes us through the Beatitudes and shows us what it means to live in the kingdom of God. Through Jesus’s teaching, learn what the blessed life really looks like.

We do a pot luck style dinner and kids of all ages are welcome to hang out & play while adults study.

Studying Romans, Part 1 by J.D. Greear (on RightNow Media).

The book of Romans is considered by many to be one of the most important books ever written on the Christian faith. Writing to Christians, the apostle Paul defines the gospel, explores its depths, and discusses its significance and implications for the Christian life.

We are a casual group of guys committed to growing in our faith together.  Our typical study involves a DVD segment from a recognized author followed by discussion that is both real and related to Scripture.  We also have regular social and service opportunities to make sure we're not all work and no play.  Come try us out!

Women's Group - Mid-day Wednesday
Facilitated by: Cindy Haas
Type of group: Women’s Group
Time: Wednesdays, 10 – 12 a.m. on Zoom.* We have individuals who home-school their child(ren) and others who just find it more convenient to be able to get together online with their busy schedules. If you are interested in meeting with another person “live,” we can arrange that as well.

Looking for a women's group where you can attend during the day when things are not so hectic with family duties or other activities? This group is for all women where your stage in life and faith does not matter.

In September, we will begin our newest eight-session study with Lisa Harper, a “hilarious storyteller” and “theological scholar” who is “anything but stereotypical!”  She emphasizes that accruing knowledge about God pales next to a real and intimate relationship with Jesus.1  Our study is on the book of Luke, Gut-Level Compassion, with streaming video every week (each about 30 minutes long) and discussion of the video. Lisa’s studies have proven to be awesome and very meaningful in our lives today.

Our second Fall  Study is Francis Chan’s study of Forgotten God: Reversing Our Tragic Neglect of the Holy Spirit. This book, a 7-week study, looks at if the neglect of the Holy Spirit is another reason why today’s church in America doesn’t look like the early church of the book of Acts. Workbooks are $15.99 and paperback book is $14.99 at Amazon.  The video study is available to us through Right Now Media.

Contact Cindy Haas, facilitator, if you are interested at 713-817-7493 (call or text). We would love to have you join us!

*We are offering in-home study location as well as Zoom for those who cannot meet in person.
